West Coast Worship Conference, and Much More!

Fri. morning, Feb. 3, I attended a workshop and general session of the West Coast Worship Conference.
The workshop was on social networking - which is an increasingly important avenue for ministry and
connecting with others. The presenter, Doug Pagitt, has his own company and has a strong interest
and awareness of spirituality. The session was very helpful and all too short.

The general session shared contemporary perspectives on worship, presented by Ryan Bolger, a Fuller
Theological Seminar professor. It, too, was excellent, and thought provoking--and most of all, relevant.
If we, the church, want to minister to others, we need to pay attention to where people are connecting
and searching, and not wait for them to come to us.

Tomorrow's WCWC will feature additional workshops, including ones on engaging the "Net" generation.
In the morning general session, Elder Dan Jackson, NAD president, will speak. His topic, "Worship: A Response to God's Love."
The Worship Conference will continue through tomorrow afternoon (Feb. 4)

Black Ministerial Fellowship (BMF) Winter Revival will conclude with a 4:30 p.m. meeting tomorrow afternoon (Feb. 4), at the
Berean Church, 4211 W. Adams Blvd., Los Angeles.

Wisdom Keys to Lost Civilizations: In Search of Solomon’s Treasures is a new Saturday evening series that starts tomorrow evening (Feb. 4) and continues to Sat. p.m.,  Apr. 14. Unlock the secrets of Solomon’s wisdom and discover the keys to the meaning and purpose of life. This unique multimedia series designed to reach the postmodern generation continues every Sat. night at 7 p.m. now through Apr. 14 at the Van Nuys Adventist Church, 14615 Sherman Way

Happy Sabbath!
